Safeguarding Policy

Last reviewed: January 2025

QuranPakOnline is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and nurturing online learning environment for all students — especially children. This policy sets out our approach to safeguarding and child protection across all of our services.

1. Purpose and Scope

QuranPakOnline is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, especially children and young people. This policy applies to all staff, tutors, volunteers, and contractors working on behalf of QuranPakOnline, and covers all online Quran classes and interactions conducted through our platform.

2. Our Commitment to Child Safety

We take child protection seriously. All tutors are vetted before employment, must provide character references, and agree to a Code of Conduct that prohibits any inappropriate communication or behaviour. Classes are conducted through our monitored student portal, and all sessions may be recorded for quality assurance and safeguarding purposes.

3. Tutor Conduct and Screening

  • All tutors undergo identity verification before being engaged.
  • Tutors must sign and adhere to our Tutor Code of Conduct.
  • Tutors must not communicate with students outside of the official student portal.
  • Inappropriate language, imagery, or requests of any kind will result in immediate termination.
  • Tutors must report any safeguarding concern to the QuranPakOnline administration immediately.

4. Parent and Guardian Involvement

We strongly encourage parents and guardians to be present or nearby during classes, especially for younger students. Parents may contact us at any time to review session recordings or discuss any concerns. All student records are accessible to the parent or guardian who enrolled the student.

5. Online Session Safety

  • All classes are conducted via our secure student portal.
  • Session recordings are stored securely and accessible only to the student, parent, and administration.
  • Screen sharing is limited to educational materials only.
  • Students should not share personal information beyond what is provided during enrollment.
  • Webcams should be used in an appropriate, well-lit, public area of the home.

6. Reporting a Safeguarding Concern

If you have a safeguarding concern about a student or tutor, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with the subject line 'SAFEGUARDING CONCERN'. All reports will be treated confidentially and investigated promptly. We will cooperate fully with statutory agencies where required.

7. Data Protection

All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. We do not share student or parent data with third parties except where legally required or necessary for service delivery.

8. Policy Review

This safeguarding policy is reviewed annually and updated as necessary. The effective date of the current version is January 2025. For questions about this policy, please contact us at [email protected].
